Veenvest acquires majority stake in Betherma as of 12 December 2025
Veenvest B.V. today announced the acquisition of a vast majority stake in Betherma B.V., a Dutch manufacturer and supplier of innovative, energy-saving heating and cooling solutions. The transaction marks a strategic step in Veenvest’s ongoing commitment to drive sustainable progress in the energy transition.
Based in Oss, the Netherlands, Betherma develops and produces high-efficiency convectors and radiant panels designed for the heating and cooling of buildings. The company has established a strong market position in the Netherlands and sees significant opportunities for growth across Europe.
“This acquisition strengthens Veenvest’s position within the HVAC sector and supports our mission to enable scalable growth,” said Maarten van de Veen, owner of Veenvest. “Betherma’s innovative technologies and strong management are an ideal fit for our long-term vision. Under the terms of the agreement, Betherma’s current management team will remain in place and retain a substantial minority stake, ensuring business continuity and the preservation of deep sector expertise. Low-temperature emitter technologies such as convectors and radiant panels play a vital
role in reducing energy consumption and integrate seamlessly with (hybrid) heat pump systems, a key element in Europe’s shift toward sustainable heating and cooling.
